  Wow that was my first reaction and after staying here Wow just didn't give it justice; neither did amazing and wonderful. High House is such a fab place to stay. The house is decorated to an extremely high standard and the attention to detail is absolutely superb. Beds are fabulous, decor is superb and the location is fantastic! I would like to thank Rural Retreats once again for your superb and extremely professional service and would like to add an extra special thank you to the owner who is just fantastic! My family and I spent a very special weekend here to celebrate my Dad's 80th Birthday and we couldn't have wished for better. Everyone had such a wonderful weekend. I have travelled extensively around the world and have been lucky enough to stay in some remarkable places: but High House is one of the most lovely and beautiful places I have ever stayed (they could give any 5 star hotel a real run for their money). Everyone commented that if they won the lottery this is one place they would want to buy! Thank you so so much for making my Dad's 80th Birthday weekend so special! The house was so wonderful that I didn't want to share it but felt that was unfair as it's such a special place. If you're reading this, book it, you will not be disappointed; this place is a complete gem!

  Very friendly and approachable owners. Quiet location, maybe a little too remote for some especially out of tourist season as a lot of places that are nearby (with 10-20miles) are closed. Warm property with comfortable beds and furniture. The hot tub was a nice bonus and was lovely to rest in after a long walk on a cold day. Wi-Fi was a struggle throughout the stay which made searching for activities etc difficult. Work was being done on the mast and we were made aware that there may be problems. hopefully will be back up and running properly soon. The dogs enjoyed the grassy area to run around on and were particularly fascinated with the goats. The chickens had an enclosure but seemed to enjoy being free range so we had to check before letting one of our dogs out as she would have made light work of a chicken! All in all, a good stay to explore the countryside. The local pub, the falcon inn, was a great little pub to take a walk to across the countryside (check opening times before visiting though as only open sporadically through the week) I also left a couple of small items at the property and the owner has kindly sent them to me in the post

  I wanted to offer some feedback after our stay at High House Tenby over Christmas. Overall,the house worked brilliantly for us.......fantastic location. A couple of things to mention..... I had rung your company and the house keeper in advance and asked for the Two single beds on the top floor to be made up into a king....this hadent happened,and also we had arranged our sleeping plan according to your info and photos on the webpage for the property........it's not set out correctly.....the bedrooms aren't on the floors you lead people to believe........please check this for future residents,as it does impact on how one configures ones family. Thirdly......there was a lot of dust around the house......we were able to wipe it and leave marks with our fingers particularly on the light fitting in the dining room and the shelved area in the dining room. The oven door was smeared and needed a final polish ,there was also food residue on some of the kitchen unit handles.......and there were areas on the top floor where paint was missing.....
