The cottage was an upside down property so anyone with mobility issues should have the downstairs bedroom that has an ensuite. On the second floor are two twin bedrooms and the main bathroom. Here there is a door to the outside to the recycling area and a walk around the grounds. The top floor is the best part. We were here in the snow and the view from the Velux Windows was beautiful. You can open the window full to enjoy the superb views and take pictures. This floors houses a well equipped kitchen and dining area and the leads to the lounge. This has two sofas and a comfortable arm chair. You can not park at the cottage but you can take the car down and unload and then pop the car back at the car park near the entrance. There are pretty grounds to walk around and include a tennis court, trampoline, indoor heated games room with pool table, table soccer. The best indoor activity is the heated pool with newly installed hot tub. A great base to go and explore this area and very relaxing to come back to. We were here in sub zero temperatures and the cottage was lovely and warm.

The river is literally at the bottom of the garden, and you (and the doggies) can paddle as it's lovely and shallow. Great watching the horses and walkers cross the bridge, but clever planting in the beautifully maintained gardens means the garden is private too. You can walk from the cottage up on to the Moor too and lots of local walks. Dulverton nearby, lots of lovely restaurants locally and best of all a fantastic tea room opposite the cottage to keep teenagers happy. The cottage is well equipped and perfect if you're bringing dogs as you can shut them with wet paws in the conservatory with a stone floor and a stair gate to keep them from going upstairs too. Tony was on hand in the post office/local store and happy to answer any questions we might have. All the locals really friendly and we felt very welcome.

Really lovely, tastefully decorated & spacious property in a quiet, peaceful location despite still being a working farm.
We didn't hear a peep out of the cows all week. We enjoyed staying here and wouldnât hesitate to book again. I have a bad back and being honest, I am overweight and found the mattress in smaller superking room wasn't very comfortable for me personally but it may be perfectly fine for most folk. I ended up using the single bed in 3rd bedroom which was fine as there were only two of us in our party in the end. Friendly, helpful owners who are just next door left us a welcome basket which was much appreciated. We enjoyed seeing the barn owl at dusk and a robin and blackbird visited us most days. Some narrow lanes in the surrounding area but main roads easily accessible within a few minutes drive. Great to have two bathrooms, one on each floor. Three spacious bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen. Also a decent size lounge/diner. The outside area is very relaxing with a hot tub, plenty of seating and a rotary airer for drying towels etc. Terrific WiFi but mobile phone signal not as good (I'm on Tesco mobile which is/was O2) Overall would highly recommend this property particularly if you appreciate peace and quiet.

Comfortable and well thought out both inside and out! Spacious light living/kitchen/dining area was great for our four sisters and mother get together. Bedrooms cosy but comfy and showers etc excellent. Made full use of heated pool but no time (and certainly not the weather) to do much else. Handy having a boot and coat drying area immediately inside the front door by the radiator. Excellent location for a multitude of activities, mainly walking in our case, but lovely to pop into Dunster at this rather quiet time of year and easily accessible to Minehead which has a handy Co-op. Warning: no where to buy milk and little essentials after normal shop hours locally so try to remember to pick up stuff on the way back before that first G & T!

Beautiful surroundings and a fabulous base to tour the area. We would advise that you take plenty of towels if your cottage does not have a tumble dryer as we struggled to get ours dry when the weather was bad. Although the surroundings are lovely, due to the close proximity to a narrow and busy road, you cannot walk far from the cottages - you will need to drive first. We would also advise all guests to check all the property details on the property’s own website - we just went off the details found on the broker site and missed some key information.
