The house itself was lovely and exactly as shown in photos online.
Couldnât recommend the house enough for the location and ease of exploring the island and nearby areas. The kitchen is full stocked with every pan and utensil youâd need, the beds especially the attic bed is amazingly comfy, great WiFi and a lovely sun/roof terrace. There are also some great restaurants by Menai Bridge just a couple of minutes walk from the house. I would definitely stay here again in the future. Also there was a lovely little welcome basket waiting for us with wine, milk, bread and welsh cakes which was a very nice touch so thank you! My only negative is nothing to do with the house but the booking process. I booked the house through Booking.com and then straight away received emails off Sykes cottages yet there was no mention of who they was. The emails then said they were running final checks whatever this was even though it had been booked. We received the key collection email when first booked but then no reminder closer to the stay so had to trawl back to find the key code etc which was booked months earlier. As much as the booking process was simple itâs nice to receive important information a day or couple of days prior to the stay which is good customer service. Like I said though the house was perfect, the host left information inside the house for the guests so I would definitely return in the future.

It's a lovely house with stunning views.
Very comfortable. A really well equipped home. Everything we needed. There were a few areas that we feel could be improved. All of the bedroom carpets were quite worn. The duvet cover in double bedroom had faded on the side nearest the window. The upstairs bathroom shower mats were clean but very marked on the surface and definitely need replacing as does the bath mat which is worn. The chandelier fitting at the top of the stairs has come away from the ceiling. There is quite a bit of grout that needs re doing in the bathrooms. We cleaned the fire door in the lounge because it was dirty and smoking. Parking was difficult because we had 2 cars. We tried to park the 2nd car in the garage but there was not enough room with stuff in there and we couldn't shut the garage door. I also think if you had a large 4 x 4 the lane would be inaccessible and this should be highlighted. I know there are a few negatives but we very much liked the house and views and would happily re visit if it was updated. It does look a wee bit tired decor wise. The downstairs loo had a lot of cobwebs. It's just constructive feedback that hopefully will enhance further stays for customers. It's the 3rd UK holiday with Sykes and we will continue to book with you. Thank you. Elaine Vincent

We had an issue with the central heating.
As our holiday was towards the end of September the nights were quite cold. There was only one small heater and a wood burner in the lounge which was not really enough to heat the house especially as we had a 4 month old baby. However the holiday company was very good and supplied us with 2 heaters and some kindling fire wood which sufficed for our last night. Hopefully the heating problem will be resolved for anyone taking late breaks at Ty Mawr. Also the car parking situation - it states off road car parking for 2 cars. It is not really off road as the parking is one car on each side of the road which is a very narrow lane. Fortunately not too much traffic passes. But it really is only adequate for 2 small - to medium (just about) cars. Bit of a squeeze anything larger and takes a lot of manoeuvring . Apart from that it is a beautiful house, well equipped, very clean and has a lovely enclosed garden. Best of all - the stunning views of the Menai Straights. We enjoyed it - thank you!

Storws is an extremely spacious and well designed property in a very attractive location on the edge of a 200 acre working farm.
Elen and John were very keen that we, a family of 5 with ages from 14 - 85, enjoyed our stay during Xmas week. The house is warm and provides great views from numerous picture windows and we found the separate 6 seats games area particularly useful. The females enjoyed the hot tub (the men were too sensible - it was Xmas after all!) Everything worked and and we had to ask for nothing - including the cake on our arrival. It was a pleasure to return to after a day out. There are many walkable beaches nearby and promenades and piers along with country paths. We had good meals at Pebbles, the Boathouse, the Tavern on the Bay and pizzas at the Panton Arms - all within a 10 minute drive. Usually with a review, we find something to complain about (justifiably of course!) but Elen & John make sure that we had no cause! Of course, we shall visit again.

The cottage is lovely, ideally situated in Menai Bridge, within a short walk to shops, cafes and a very convenient Waitrose.
It's dog-friendly, although we didn't bring our dog, she would have liked it. One of the best equipped kitchens I have ever stayed in! Four spacious bedrooms and a lovely patio space outside for when the weather is friendly. Very convenient for visiting Anglesey and North Wales, high recommend trips to Beaumaris, Conwy, Snowdon etc. Only reason I haven't given it top marks is that I have mobility issues and hadn't quite realised that there is no step-free access to a loo (both are on first floor) and it was sometimes difficult to park near the house. Not a particular issue for us but the towels and bedding were a bit worn and some of the doors tricky to open, might be a problem with small children. But if these aren't issues for you this a lovely place to stay and I would definitely come again for the location.
