Every year from late July to early August it hosts the annual Monmouth Festival, which is one of the largest free music festivals in Europe! The town is bursting with history, but it doesn't stop there. The area itself is stunning, and there are a whole host of walks to choose from. Stroll along the River Monmow for some stunning views of Wales, or hike the Wye Valley Walk and visit the Naval Temple at The Kymin. Maybe you'd prefer to relax at one of the local pubs. Monmouth has something for everyone.
