The Haven in Northumberland receives praise for its prime location with easy beach access and welcoming touches for both human and canine guests. While some guests mention the property is warm and the views stunning, there are suggestions for updates and maintenance to enhance comfort. The garden's condition and some dated aspects of the property are noted, yet the overall experience is positive with many guests expressing a desire to return.
Guests generally find The Haven to be clean, with several reviews highlighting its spotless condition upon arrival. However, a few guests noted external cleanliness issues, such as bird droppings on outdoor furniture and windows, which slightly impacts the overall impression.
The property's location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach and local amenities. Guests appreciate the scenic views and the convenience of nearby attractions, making it an ideal spot for both relaxation and exploration.
Comfort receives mixed reviews; while the beds and living space are often described as comfortable, several guests mention that the furniture, particularly the sofas, could be more comfortable. The softness of the beds and dated bathroom are also noted.
Facilities are generally well-received, with the property being described as well-equipped. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues, such as problems with windows, doors, and the need for updates, which suggests room for improvement.
Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, such as welcome packs for dogs and humans, which contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. It's important to note that while these gifts are mentioned positively, their inclusion is not guaranteed for every stay.
The Haven is a fantastic holiday cottage with uninterrupted views. Overlooking the sea in the beautiful village of Beadnell on the North Northumberland Coast, birdwatchers, walkers and golfers are well catered for here.
This charming beach house has uninterrupted sea views. A fabulous and much loved coastal holiday home for four guests offering delightful cottage style accommodation. The two pretty bedrooms are beautifully furnished with iron bedsteads and stripped wood floors. The comfortable living space has a couple of sofas and an open fireplace, perfect for the cooler evenings. The cottage is child and dog friendly with a lovely coastal garden landscaped with pebbles and sleepers… what better place for a seaside holiday!
The Haven lies just opposite the beach and with some great walking trails on the doorstep there’s plenty to explore. Beadnell Bay is on the Heritage coast, well known for excellent sailing, fishing and wind surfing. This is an excellent area for walking with many coastal walks taking in views of dramatic cliff top ruins including Dunstanburgh Castle. Beyond the Castle is Craster, a picturesque village famous for kippers and other smoked delicacies. Mrs Stockford
A wonderful place to spend a holiday in a great location.
Mr Mosey
Great location, property could do with some updating and repairs.
Mr Hanson
This property is not fit to be let as a holiday as it requires considerable maintenance and renewals. We have never experienced such a poor property. The owner and original cottages let us down badly.
