Number 13 offers spacious accommodation in a good location, with access to on-site amenities such as pools and a pub serving nice food. While some guests found the property to be a clean and bright base for activities, others noted it requires TLC, with issues like creaking floorboards and maintenance needs. The property's potential is acknowledged, but improvements are suggested.
Reviews indicate that while the property was generally clean, there were comments about worn paintwork and the need for a bit of TLC in most rooms. One review mentioned that it was not the cleanest lodge they've stayed in on the site.
The property is situated in a desirable part of Cornwall/Devon, with many pretty places to visit nearby. However, some guests experienced difficulty finding the lodge due to poor directions.
Guests have mentioned creaking floorboards and issues with heating, which affected their comfort. The property was described as spacious, but the presence of maintenance issues like leaks and a hard-to-use bathroom detracted from the overall comfort.
Facilities received mixed reviews; the pools and pub were praised, but there were several reports of maintenance issues such as a non-working radiator, broken furniture, and a lack of kitchen equipment. Additionally, the absence of a dishwasher was noted by multiple guests.
No reviews mentioned gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, it is not possible to assess this category based on the provided reviews.

Enjoying our stay at Dartmoor lodge. The lodge was well laid out and most of the beds had mattreses that adults could sleep on. The facilities within the lodge were a little above esential. The swimming sesions were included as was the WiFi. Though finding out was very difficult. It was great that the owner of the lodge allowed dogs. The entire site seemed to be respected by dog owners, with plenty of Pooh bins available. There was a shop and a pub onsite, alongside the indoor (bookable) and outdoor swimming pool. We arrived very late due to holiday traffic. It was difficult actually locating the lodge. A 'what3words' location would have helped immensely instead of the generic Postcode. There was absolutely no welcome pack or information on how to use any of the electrical equipment. The oven, TV and washing machine were trial and error. We did not know if the swimming was included in the package or how to join the WiFi. Or even a note on the door to indicate we could contact the Housekeeping for queries. An online information pack could have made our stay much more streamline and les stresful. (The gentleman from housekeeping suggested that previous lodge users had taken the information!!!) Though the lodge owner allowed dogs, which we were very grateful for (as one of our dogs could not have been left in kennels due to an intensive treatment), there was no garden, only a communal gras area. The whole site, while they allowed dogs on leads, had no areas at all for off lead sniffing or exercise.

Spacious accommodation- well appointed. Only hiccup was no instructions about Wi-Fi so teens were disappointed! Lovely park and location! Thank you

We had a great week at number 13 and felt compelled to right a review as I thought the other 2 reviews really weren't valid and were over critical!! The house was a great size and clean and bright (a few touch ups needed here and there but what you would expect from a holiday let at this price) the camp was great and the pools were brilliant both inside and the outdoor pool was amazing and warmer than my last bath!! The onsite pub was great with great staff and very nice food (especially the carvery) all in all our family all had a great holiday and found the house brilliant base for our activities. Only small criticism we had was the creaking floorboards upstairs and a piece of constructive criticism would be to get rid of the washing machine and get a dishwasher in the kitchen as I feel people staying there would get a lot more use out of a dishwasher than a washing machine.
