About this property

Escape to the coast in this charming cottage in the colourful town of Brixham. The property sleeps four guests and makes a fantastic base for couples and small families looking to explore the beautiful English Riviera, with regular ferries to Paignton and Torquay. The town’s marina and harbour are within 0.5 miles, and you’ll also be within easy reach of the independent shops and eateries. In summer, enjoy a sundowner on the raised terrace and admire the far-reaching views along the coast.

Approximately 35 steps lead to the pastel-coloured, terraced cottage. Inside, the holiday home has a reverse-level layout, to maximise the incredible views, and is full of creature comforts and homely touches. The lower floor comprises two stylish bedrooms and a large family shower room, as well as a handy utility room. Upstairs, you’ll find a bright and spacious lounge/diner with a cosy wood burner and beautiful views of the inner harbour. A separate, galley-style kitchen completes the accommodation. To the rear of the cottage is an enclosed, multi-teared garden with a patio area for al fresco dining and a west-facing raised decked area with magnificent views. There’s also a small seating area at the front of the cottage.

Head into Brixham to potter around its narrow streets, perusing the cute boutiques and galleries, before wandering down to the colourful harbour. Be sure to check out the famous fish market, where you can pick up the catch of the day for your supper. You’ll also find that many of the town’s restaurants serve delicious, fresh seafood. In summer, a trip to the art deco lido at Shoalstone is a must, as is a visit to Breakwater Beach (both 1 mile). The South West Coast Path passes through the town, offering stunning walking routes with jaw-dropping views.

In the months of May through to November why not attend one of the many events and festivals in the area like the Brixham Pirate Festival, England's Seafood Feast, Lanterns lights & 'luminations, Dartmouth Music Festival, Dartmouth Royal Regatta, Dartmouth Food Festival, Torbay Air Show, Teignmouth Air show, Devon County Show.
