Built in 1910, it’s a fascinating mix of period charm and modern comforts, and an idyllic setting for a family gathering or special occasion with your loved ones. Sleeping 16 people in 8 bedrooms, there’s abundant space for entertaining and socialising, including an indoor swimming pool, sauna, gym, various games and play rooms, and a landscaped garden with outdoor dining and a BBQ.

Spread over three floors, this magnificent property features high ceilings and elegant decor, giving it an air of grandeur. And it’s bursting with entertainment facilities and outstanding features that are perfect for every age group. The main living areas are on the ground floor, accentuated by high ceilings, heavy drapes and superb sea views. With a double range oven, the bright and colourful kitchen is a dream to prepare meals in, and there’s a separate preparation area should you prefer to hire a chef. The formal dining room is the ideal backdrop to celebratory meals, or gather outside to enjoy a BBQ overlooking the harbour. The gorgeous landscaped garden also features sun loungers for lazy summer afternoons. The lower ground floor is an entertainment paradise; here you’ll find the indoor pool, sauna, gym, a second games room and a children’s playroom. One of the double bedrooms is located here, along with private quarters for the housekeeper. The other seven bedrooms – an en-suite king-size, four doubles, a twin and a zip-and-link bedroom – are on the first floor, along with two family bathrooms.

Head down to Breakwater Beach for a morning swim, or enjoy a stroll around the headland to Berry Head Nature Reserve and Lighthouse, watching for seals and seabirds along the way. For a fun-filled family outing, Paignton Zoo (6 miles) is a must.

  • Mr Chere

The location is excellent, ideally placed for walks along the coastal paths, trips out with young children and stunning views over Brixham harbour. There is only one word to describe the house "awesome", everything from kitchen equipment, beds, furniture and games rooms was top quality. Steve was an excellent host and had so much history about the house. Will definitely go back.

  • Mr Wynne

Fantastic character, atmosphere and relaxing, homely feel as soon as you arrive. The location and views are superb. We had practically a whole week of sunshine luckily, but would have been happy indoors any weather.

  • Mr Hobbs

Absolutely sensational property, with everything that you could possibly need. A family or group of families could easily entertain themselves and their children without going off site once. We had competitions for table tennis, table football, snooker, chess and boules. The patio area is really special. A wind protected suntrap with views over the whole of Torbay. Day, night, and sunset are quite spectacular sitting or lying there relaxing.
