Guests say

Skimming Stones in Southwold is a well-received cottage, praised for its spacious and comfortable interiors, open-plan living area, and well-equipped kitchen. The property boasts ensuite bathrooms, a peaceful location, and a garden with a pizza oven. It's suitable for a range of guests, including those with limited mobility, and is within walking distance to the beach and local amenities.

Guests have described the property as very comfortable and clean, indicating high standards of cleanliness. One review mentioned it was not very clean, but this seems to be an outlier.

The location is consistently praised for being quiet, peaceful, and well-situated within walking distance to the beach, pubs, and other amenities, making it an ideal holiday spot.

Numerous reviews highlight the property's comfort, mentioning comfortable beds and spacious areas suitable for guests of all ages, from children to the elderly.

The property is celebrated for its well-equipped kitchen, ensuite bathrooms, and landscaped garden. However, a few guests noted the absence of kitchen scales and bedroom TVs, and one mentioned the garden was not dog-friendly, suggesting some room for improvement.

The owners' thoughtfulness is evident from the mention of a welcome gift of scones, jam, and clotted cream. While such gestures are greatly appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Great location , well equipped and comfy beds. Garden not really dog friendly . Not v clean and looking tired . No tv’s in bedrooms .

  • Mrs Cartwright

A deceptively spacious house with a large sociable space for relaxing and dining. The location is ideal for walking to the town and seafront yet it is in a quiet road with good views over the marshes from the front bedroom.

  • Mrs Abell

A lovely house with lots of room to spread out. A nice walk into Southwold with a lovely outlook to the front of the house. A really private, enclosed garden. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped with a great sized dining table to accommodate everyone.
