Lavender Cottage in Southwold is praised for its excellent central location, cleanliness, and the convenience of having a parking space. Guests find it cosy and comfortable, with well-equipped facilities, though some mention it is snug for larger groups or tall individuals. The property is dog-friendly and generally well-received for its proximity to the beach and shops.
The majority of guests report the cottage as very clean and well-kept, with only one mention of an unpleasant odour in the bathroom suggesting a need for a deep clean.
The location is consistently highlighted as excellent, being central, close to the beach, shops, and with the added benefit of a parking space, despite some difficulties with larger vehicles.
Guests find the cottage comfortable and cosy, with very comfortable beds, though some note the main bedroom is small for taller individuals and the space can be tight for four adults and a dog.
Facilities are generally well-regarded as well-equipped and tidy. However, one guest found the equipment sparse and another had an issue with ongoing decoration upon arrival, impacting the score.
While some guests appreciated the well-equipped nature of the cottage, there is only one mention of a lack of a 'welcome pack', and without more references to such gifts, it is not possible to accurately score thoughtfulness.
Ideally situated close to the sea and shops, Lavender Cottage has all the ingredients for a truly memorable family holiday in the very heart of Southwold.

This is a really quaint cosy cottage wonderfully located just a few steps from the town centre. The parking space just outside the property is a bonus. We spent a most enjoyable week here.
Miss Rogers
Very pleasant stay, comfy beds Ideal location for the town and not far from the sea. Parking outside cottage, but a bit restrictive when turning.
