Guests consistently praise the property for its superb location, comfort, and unique charm. The cottage is described as roomy, well-stocked, and ideal for group bookings or family gatherings. Its proximity to the beach and town amenities, along with a sociable kitchen and interesting architectural features, contribute to a memorable stay. The presence of a Ping Pong table and a well-curated book collection add to the enjoyment, although some guests noted areas for improvement in maintenance.

There are no specific mentions of cleanliness in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide an accurate assessment in this category.

The location is highly praised for being central, close to the beach, local amenities, and offering easy access to walks. Its convenience is a recurring theme in guest feedback.

Guests find the property very comfortable, with plenty of room, comfortable living areas, and no bunk beds, which is a plus for adult groups. The house's warmth during cold weather also contributes to its comfort.

The property is well-equipped with a sociable kitchen, sun room, and a Ping Pong table. However, some guests reported issues with TV operation and fire doors, suggesting room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

The property provides thoughtful touches such as a lovely welcome pack, which guests appreciated. However, as gifts are not consistently mentioned, they should not be expected with every stay.

We have stayed here several times and enjoyed its old world comfort. However some of the defects are mounting which offset the charm of this older property. Since staying in 2023 fire doors have been fitted which are very hard to open. In particular the ones fitted to the narrow doors leading to the twin bedded room on the ground floor are nearly impossible and would be a hazard if the room was used by children.

This was the worst holiday cottage we have ever rented in 30 years. The house is dirty, from the cobweb and resident spider on the right as you enter the rear door, to the cobwebs and dust in bedrooms and a spider suspended from the ceiling in one of the bedrooms. The windows and surrounds have not been cleaned in years and the front door and white surrounds makes the building look as it has been abandoned. The internal doors are highly sprung and it was not possible to keep them open. A sure health and safety hazard if small hands were to be trapped. I myself have returned home with bruises on both arms when the doors have closed heavily on me after opening, and then springing shut. The doors into the twin bed room are almost impossible to open, they are so tightly sprung. The whole house smelt damp and musty and this was compounded by the inability to open any of the widows. They all appear to be locked, and when you pull down the secondary glazing panes the cobwebs and dust behind have been there for a very long period. Having scented plugs in some sockets does not help and in the downstairs bedroom there is a dehumidifier that was left running indicating some sort of problem with damp/mould but no note to indicate what.

A bit quirky but certainly a good place for a holiday excellently located for the town and beach. The beach hut was a real bonus.
