The large living area has a beautiful feature wood burner and is the perfect place to get together, laugh and talk long into the night.
The property offers 5 individually designed well-appointed bedrooms all with their own en-suite facilities, so no need to fight for the bathroom! The top floor has been designed to accommodate 5 guests, so ideal if you have kids in your group, as it is the perfect place for them to escape to whilst you relax downstairs. A fully functional, ground floor bedroom with en-suite shower room and kitchen area, is ideal for less mobile guests, or grandparents wanting space and independence from the rest of the party.
Brown Edge has a post office, general store, and a couple of pubs. A wider range of amenities can be found 5 miles away in Hanley. The market town of Leek, which is renowned for its antique shops, is just 6 miles away. Ideally located for exploring the Staffordshire moorlands, Cheshire, and the Peak District National Park, it is a great area for walking, and there are lots of attractions within easy driving distance. These include Biddulph Grange Gardens, 4 miles, the Potteries at Stoke-on-Trent, 8 miles, Trentham Gardens, 11 miles, Lyme Park House and Gardens, 16 miles, and Alton Towers Theme Park 17 miles. Shop ½ mile, pub, and restaurant 100 yards.

We had a wonderful family long weekend here with 11 adults and our dog, and the property was absolutely perfect for us. Having an en suite in every bedroom was a huge bonus, and the open-plan layout downstairs made it ideal for spending time together.The kitchen was fantastic, with plenty of space and everything we needed for cooking for a large group. The BBQ house was also a lovely addition, and there was plenty of outdoor, undercover seating and tables, which made it easy to enjoy the garden whatever the weather.The pub next door was another highlight. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, and the food was amazing — such a convenient bonus having it right on the doorstep!We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with family or friends. It was the perfect place to unwind, spend quality time together and catch up.

Hillcrest house is a massive house in a nice quiet village.The TOP PUB is just around the corner, just seconds away.It has everything you need for a large party of adults children+dogs.Leek and Stoke are a short ride away, plus lots of country walks.I would highly recommend Hillcrest house.

Good vfm home, good size for 18+ 4 dogs. Quiet location despite the pub being just over the fence. Location handy for town (Stoke) and country (Peak District NP)Comfortable beds & furniture, nice spacious downstairs bedroom.One or two items lacking…oven gloves, toothbrush holders, soap in bathrooms, drawer space in annexe….minor things which did not detract from the overall enjoyment. Would certainly consider booking again.The early (9.00 a.m.) checkout makes it a dreadful rush to get the place in order, feed, pack & get every body + kids out in time. In 40+ years and several times a year of staying in holiday homes, it has always been 10.00. Why be different?
