Fallow’s Holt benefits from the tranquillity of rural Shropshire, yet only a ten-minute drive from all that Ironbridge and the Gorge has to offer. It’s difficult to believe this picturesque large village was once the centre of the industrial world, and now tourism is the most precious resource. The many museums trace Ironbridge’s history and the ’Iron Bridge’ itself is a reminder of its importance. Ironbridge has a wonderful cluster of craft and souvenir shops, some great bars and restaurants, and no less than ten museums spread along the banks of the River Severn. Or Shrewsbury which will certainly supply plenty to get you thinking, much of it within a short stroll.
The theatre Severn is well worth a visit, though be sure to see what’s on beforehand, so you’re not disappointed. Or why not catch a film at the independent cinema in the historic hall, screening the latest releases, with a cool, vaulted café-bar? There’s an abundance of cafés, wine bars, award-winning restaurants, coffee shops and pubs galore to discover. Quarry Park is home to the annual Shrewsbury Flower Show. Visit the National Trust’s stately Attingham Park, an elegant 18th-century mansion. Or why not discover even further the castle and excellent restaurants of Ludlow?

Just returner from marvelous stay at Fallows Holt. The accommodation is superb with lots of mod cons which suit the property. Rob was very friendly and was always on hand if you needed help. It is placed well in Shropshire with local places to visit close at hand...Ironbridge is beautiful. Definitely recommend staying here.

Ideal location close to the lovely village of Ironbridge with great views of surrounding countryside. Lovely and peaceful and great to hear all the wildlife. The accommodation was perfect for a couple with a bright and cosy sitting room, bedroom and bathroom upstairs. We did struggle with the TV, but could use our laptop to stream. Kitchen was well equipped and welcome hamper was a lovely touch. Owners were close at hand if needed but accommodation was private and secured parking right outside. We had a relaxing break.
