Initial fuel for open fire included. Enclosed gravelled area and garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. Both properties: Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. No smoking.. With far reaching countryside views Berrington House (refs 24773 and 24795) adjoin the owner’s home which is situated on the edge of Tenbury Wells. The ancient market town of Tenbury is set on the River Teme and was affectionately referred to by Queen Victoria as ’the town in the orchard’. It provides a range of interesting shops, cafés and pubs, whilst Ludlow, with its fine eateries and restaurants, is only a short drive away. For walkers, Titterstone Clee Hill offers spectacular views from its summits, or if you prefer a more leisurely stroll, there are plenty of country walks through the Teme Valley, renowned for its growing of hops and cider apples. The cathedral cities of Worcester, Hereford and Gloucester are only a short drive away as are the National Trust properties of Berrington Hall and Croft Castle. Both properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 7 guests. Shop ½ mile, pub ¼ mile.

The accommodation was spacious and comfortable and the location was and privacy were a positive. I think instructions for arrival should be improved, the text message received was unclear and caused some confusion on arrival. The flat was quite clean in communal areas and bedrooms but the bathroom has hair blocking the sink. The handrail up the stairs to the flat was loose and children could not open the front door without our help due to catching at the bottom which wasn’t safe. We couldn’t get the microwave to work but that could have been an error on our part. We also thought a fan in the property would be helpful during the summer months - particularly this year although the flat did stay quite cool in the mornings and evenings with all the windows open. WiFi was very good and the living room TV was useful having apps as the signal was poor. Hope that’s all useful feedback.

We had such a pleasant, relaxing stay in this charming apartment - it felt like stopping in a rather lovely National Trust property! Situated in a very quiet residential area, it’s perfectly located for walking into Tenbury Wells (there’s a shortcut via a short footpath) as well as being well sited for visiting the numerous nearby attractions (and it’s less than an hour’s drive through bucolic countryside to Hay-on-Wye). There was a lovely welcome (and welcome pack - including flowers!) from the equally charming and delightful friendly owners. We spent many evenings dining al fresco in the private garden in front of the apartment, as well as relaxing there with a cup of tea after our daily excursions. A lovely apartment in a wonderful part of the country.

Comfy, cosy flat with everything we needed. Loved the log fire and the pretty view of trees from the windows. Easy acces and parking. Tenbury Wells is a treasure trove of independent shops and has eclectic and surprising architecture.
