Apricot Cottage is consistently praised for its cleanliness, high-quality facilities, and prime location close to the beach and local amenities. Guests appreciate the well-equipped property, including a safe garden and generous supplies. While some found the sofas and mattresses soft, the overall comfort and presentation are well-regarded. The property offers a peaceful stay in a central village location, ideal for exploring the Gower Peninsula.
Guests unanimously report that the cottage is spotlessly clean, with several reviews highlighting its immaculate condition. The fresh smell of towels and bedding is also noted, contributing to the high cleanliness standards.
The location is highly praised for being close to the beach, with easy access to local pubs and cafes. It is also mentioned as a great starting point for exploring the Gower Peninsula, although out-of-season visitors note limited nearby amenities.
The comfort of the cottage receives positive remarks, but there are some concerns about the softness of the sofas and mattresses. No other significant comfort issues are mentioned, indicating a generally comfortable experience.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the property described as well-equipped and well-supplied. However, minor suggestions for improvement include the addition of soap dishes and lounging chairs, and a more reliable landline connection.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches beyond the provision of standard amenities, so it is not possible to score this category. However, the provision of items like dishwasher tablets and a stairgate suggests a considerate approach to guest needs.

Lovely cottage, we were lucky enough to have great weather too
Dr Burwood
Ideal location, 100yds from the beach. Very helpful staff, responding promptly to problems. The cottage was very comfortable & well equipped, with a safe enclosed back garden.
Mr Hutchinson
The cottage had all amenities including a Bose Bluetooth speaker which you don’t often see. It is very close to the beach. There is a small lawn at the back so suitable for dogs to walk on, the beach has a dog friendly section in high season and there is a field opposite to exercise dogs although partly used as a car park. Note that the location is quite remote with a couple of small shops within a ten minute drive but a 45 minute drive to Swansea for serious stocking of provisions. The cost is not outrageous but was more expensive than a similar property we rented last year in a more popular area of the UK.
