Guests say

Meadowlands is a well-received cottage offering clean, comfortable, and spacious accommodation. Guests appreciate the property's well-equipped facilities, beautiful local scenery, and its proximity to beaches and amenities. The hosts are praised for their hospitality, though there are isolated mentions of maintenance issues and communication lapses.

The cottage consistently receives high praise for its cleanliness, with multiple reviews highlighting its immaculate condition.

The location is appreciated for its easy access to local towns and scenic beauty, though the proximity to an A road is noted. The convenience to beaches and mountains adds to its appeal.

Comfort is frequently mentioned, with guests finding the cottage spacious and cosy. The presence of modern bathrooms and multiple living areas contributes to the overall comfort.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the kitchen and utility room. However, some guests reported minor issues with maintenance, such as a non-functioning light and difficulties with the television.

While the hosts are described as delightful and welcoming, with a mention of providing fresh broad beans, there is insufficient information to assess the consistency of such thoughtful gestures, and they should not be expected as guaranteed.

About this property

Retaining some of its original features, parts of this traditionally furnished cottage are over 400 years old.

On the ground floor you will find the well equipped Kitchen/Dining area, which leads through to the large wooden conservatory, together with the bathroom, utility room and lounge.

The second floor has an en-suite master bedroom with a king size bed, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom.

The cottage sits in half an acre of grounds with a stream, a natural spring, an enclosed fish pond, woodland shrubbery and a grass lawn area. The grounds also have a picnic table for enjoying an alfresco meal or a ‘Teddy bears Picnic’.

The Pembrokeshire Coast Path can be joined nearby and a walk along it offers not only superb views but also the chance of spotting seals, birds, dolphins or porpoise. A short drive from the property are the two coves of Pwll Gwaelod and Cwm yr Eglwys. The public service bus and the local coastal bus can both be caught a short walk from the property.

The scattered village of Dinas Cross has a well stocked mini market store and a pub, and nestles between the Preseli Mountains and the wonderful Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Pwll Gwaelod and Cwm-Yr-Eglwys beaches are both minutes away, both with breathtaking scenery offering the opportunity for tranquil days in perfect settings, and are almost unnoticed by the general public unless they leave the main route through the village. Nearby Newport is a quirky seaside town steeped in history, with various shops, tea rooms and pubs and is also a great place to go boating. With castles, mills, craft centres and golf courses galore scattered all over this beautiful Welsh county, this is the perfect base for a break all year round.
