What our customers say about their holidays

He home itself was beautiful and the location was perfect so peaceful and exactly what we wanted, all the amenities that you want and need.
The cleanliness of the home could have been much better, the previous guests had had some sort of celebration and there was still evidence of discarded balloons and confetti all over the home, we had to get the hot tub checked as we found the water to be cloudy and quite smelly this meant we didnât use it as much as we would have liked, the owners did come and put more chlorine in and offered to empty the hot tub for us. Whilst i understand the home is on a farm the amount of cobwebs when we arrived were everywhere a quick brush of the ceilings on change over would quickly sort these out and possibly eliminate the amount of spiders. The cooker in my opinion needs looking at it took us 1 hour and 20 minutes to cook some oven chips there were no real clear instructions for the cooker so we had to google them and even though we were using the correct settings it was still operating poorly, the extraction fan when switched on sounded like I was on the runway of an airport so again I think that needs replacing or looked at. Whilst we donât expect perfection these small things would have actually made the home perfect. The home is a beautiful home in the most picturesque setting and these little tweaks would definitely have made our stay perfect. Would I recommend and stay again yes absolutely.

We had a fantastic stay at Ael Y Bryn.
It is a quirky cottage on two levels with beamed ceilings and interesting little nooks and crannies. A well stocked kitchen, with most everything you could need. There is a sideboard packed with games for the family to play around the dining table, and several DVD's and books to chose from. We particularly liked the layout with several rooms to spread yourself around for a bit of peace and quiet if needed. The garden wasn't huge but plenty of room for our dogs to wander around, they were fascinated by the sheep and cows in the next field. Plenty of dog bowls were provided, along with a bag full of blankets for them. They were as comfortable as we were. The property is in a great location for visiting local tourist attractions, and it is only a short walk into Menai Bridge itself. Informative welcome pack, although we would have liked a little more information about recycling, but maybe that is just us :-) and we couldn't find an outside washing line. All that said, it's a lovely place to visit, very homely and comfortable and we would definitely return.

Cleanliness and presentation of the cottage up to the usual good standard.
Unfortunately little or no improvement in the outside space and access to the back door since our comments following our previous visit a month ago. Lawn area still overgrown, surrounding ivy, brambles etc still encroaching on paths especially path from gate to back door which is the most convenient to use. Upturned food bin, Pyrex unwashed casserole and flower pot all just outside back door amongst the weeds and undergrowth. Such lack of care and attention doesnât make the outside space an attractive prospect when the summer months give opportunities to use the garden furniture for fresh air and sunshine. Photos available if required. 2 hours general clearing and tidying would present a cared for, well maintained and attractive outdoor space.

Wow. We have just had the most amazing family holiday at this perfect place.
Lower Pentre is the epitome of a cosy cottage surrounded by beautiful scenery, clear skies filled with stars and peace and quiet. The hot tub was fabulous, the log fire cosy but the whole cottage was warm and inviting. Well provisioned, the kitchen has everything you need for your stay and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. Family games, a smart TV and super fast internet connection make this a brilliant place to relax and spend time together. Julie and Gareth are so friendly and helpful, and we really enjoyed Gareth showing us round the farm - fantastic insight into farming that we found really interesting. We were also really grateful for him clearing the roads this morning with the snow. We absolutely canât wait to go back!

The cottage is beautifully presented, a real homely feel to the place.
It is in a quiet location which was perfect for what we wanted but on our doorstep were a number of country walks. Also the town of Menai Bridge is within walking distance (downhill all the way, so up hill all the way back). All the many highlights of Anglesey are within easy striking distance to explore as is the mainland as you are in the shadow of the Menai Bridge. The owners are lovely and all correspondence was prompt and helpful as is the welcome pack telling you all the details of local activities available. This property is highly recommended and we would not hesitate to book again Thank for allowing us to stay at this wonderful well equipped cottage. Ivan, Halifax
