St Austell is moments away if you want the conveniences of a larger town but Charleston itself is a quaint village to relax in. The harbour is Grade II Listed and home to famous old ships. It's a picturesque spot to wander around and appreciate the views; venture along the coast for more walks and beachside fun. Both the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are fantastic and only a short drive away. All round this is a lovely holiday spot.
