  We had a lovely week in early/mid September and found the cottage very pretty, warm and well equipped. The stairs are a bit of a test for less-than-youthful knees and hips, but once you get used to them, and the wobbly floors that come with a 17th century cottage, it was fine. We were able to use the garden a couple of times, and the walk to the newly re-opened pub (recent change of ownership) a real treat. The villagers were friendly, the food in the pub was excellent, fresh and cooked to order. We found the bus service very useful, good value at £2 per journey and made good use of it - mainly because driving our French left hand drive car through the lanes was a little scary! The only fly in the ointment was that, on arrival we had a little problem and telephoned Original Cottages, but after being kept on hold for nearly 20 minutes with nobody answering, we managed to solve it ourselves. This is no reflection at all on Thatch Cottage, but Original Cottages might want to have more people available to answer the phone at specified arrival times.

  Lovely comfortable house, has all you need for a good break. Games, children's toys, and books. Beds are really comfortable. A very short walk to the beach and park. Mundesley is a good base to visit other areas, Cromer 20mins drive, Great Yarmouth and on the Norfolk Costal Walk Path. Good pub, The Ship, nice food. Ate there for lunch and dinner, both times fresh ingredients, lovely staff and a good ambience. The local Chinese was good too. Recommended for couples away together or families. 3 parking spaces outside house.

  Absolutely gorgeous house in an incredible location. So close to a pristine sandy beach, lovely pubs, shops nearby, everything we could have wanted in a holiday. Kids loved having such a good playground behind the house (zip line, outdoor gym, football goals, a dream!) and it made walking our dog super easy too. Really nearby there are so many good attractions. The owner of the house was amazing too, they took our booking at super short notice and were so accommodating. 5 stars all round.

  The owner of the cottage could not have been more helpful, we had a very minor issue with one of the bathrooms and she had it sorted out the next day with no inconvenience to us. The cottage is very spacious and decorated and furnished to a high standard and there is great attention to detail. The cottage was very clean and situated in a quiet area very close to the beach which has dog friendly parts to it. I would certainly recommend the cottage to other people and will be returning.

  Beautiful property, in a fantastic location…you can literally park your car and walk to everything you need. We couldn’t have asked for more and had the most wonderful time here, so much space and a lovely view of the sea from the bedrooms and bathroom. It felt like home from home. The communication with the owner was a lovely personal touch and the information from original cottages was spot on. Will definitely look at staying here again in the future.
