  Cottage is in a good location however it is worth noting it is at the top of a steep hill. Porthleven is beautiful with the shingle beach and working harbour. There are lots of small independent shops and some lovely places to eat including the Harbour Inn (the seafood sharing platter was delicious) Porthleven is very dog friendly and this made our holiday even more enjoyable. Parking at the cottage is great and the garden is lovely. We had great weather and it would be helpful to have a garden parasol and some outdoor seat cushions. Inside the cottage the sofas, could do with updating as unfortunately they are tired and rather uncomfortable. Two of the bedrooms have king sized beds (we slept very well) and there is plenty of storage. Porthleven is a great base for visiting Falmouth, the Lizard Peninsula, St Ives and St Michael’s Mount.

  This house is only a few minutes walk from this lovely village harbour and beach with all of its lovely shops, restaurants and hostelries. Particularly recommend the Harbour Inn for relaxed dining. It is spacious enough for a large family with a lovely big open kitchen dining room with a lovely big table to seat at least 7 people. It is comfortable warm well equipped and has off street parking. A good enclosed garden if you have pets. The only big disappointment having stayed over the Christmas period with our family including young grandsons that there was no Christmas decorations or tree provided in the property. ,

  Perfect cottage, loved it. Warm, cost and comfortable. When travelling with the dog our options are restricted with regards to rentals that allow pets. Nice to see a quality cottage open to us, they even left a dog bed. The sun room over the road was a big bonus and the location was excellent. Parking was also a plus point. The Cottage was exactly as per website description, booking process was simple and we were sent timely and appropriate information from Above Beach Cottages up to the date of our stay. Additionally lots of information and contact numbers were provided in the cottage in case of any issues whilst we were there.

  The cottage was of a very high standard throughout and was in an excellent position to walk to the harbour with all its amenities. However it sleeps 6 and there was only 2 of us. Lounge not big enough for more than 2 adults and 1 child. Also had problems parking as next door cottage had parked between both parking spaces which are very tight anyway. Luckily got hold of them to move car so we could park outside. Net loft was an added bonus with wonderful views of the sea. Not suitable for small children or erderley guests as steps inside and out extremely steep.

  Porthleven is a magical place with a beautiful harbour and lots of interesting places to eat drink or sit and enjoy the view Sadly this house , although it has potential is tired particularly downstairs with its old sofas and random furnishings The beds are comfortable but is a house furnish for a holiday and lacks the details to make it easy to be There is no where to hang coats , no BBQ , No cushions for the outdoor chairs , no hook to fasten back the French door we were very disappointed
