  I am not sure where to put this comment: We had a lovely time thank you but there were a few issues. The house itself is lovely, situated with great views over the harbour and excellent facilities. However the following (In order of importance) detracted from us fully enjoying ourselves. 1. The third bedroom, at the back of the house, had black mould on the wall at and smelt very musty. We could not use it as a bedroom for an 11 week child, let alone an adult. 2. There was no outside light to the property. We arrived in the dark and found it difficult to negotiate the uneven steps up to, and down from, the property when unloading the cars. 3. The was washer drier did not dry meaning we had to dry clothes on radiators. 4. There really should be somewhere on the property to put recycling. I have never stayed in a property where I have been responsible for taking our recycling to a recycling centre, which I couldn't find. As I said apart from the above, the holiday was great but immediate attention should be given to Points 1 to 3 above for the benefit of future guests.   We loved our stay at Torre Vean Manor! We were a party of 9 and the downstairs space was more than ample for us all to be together without feeling in any way cramped. The kitchen was amazing - very well equipped - with the added bonus of a utility room. The dining and living space was spot on - very comfortable with room for family get togethers but also space for us to spend quite time too if we wanted - we used both rooms and the study throughout our stay. Upstairs we found the rooms varied in comfort - ranging from the large main bedroom with dressing table, bath and shower to the twin bedroom with an open bathroom and only a frosted window so no view at all - but the fact that all bedrooms had an ensuite was fantastic and made life so much easier. The manor is situated just 5 minutes walk from Porthleven Harbour which is gorgeous and surrounded by some lovely little shops/pubs and ice cream parlours! Great place for a holiday! And it's an easy drive to many other places including the Seal Sanctuary, Flambards, Lizard and some lovely little beaches.

  Wow! Torre Vean Manor is a fantastic holiday property, it had everything we needed and more. A great find for a family gathering in Cornwall to celebrate our parents 65th wedding anniversary. This house ticked all the boxes for us, bedrooms, bathrooms, and the perfect location at Porthleven with only a short walk away to the harbour and it's great choice of cafes and restaurants. The little personal touches, milk in fridge, scones and flowers on table etc there for us on arrival made it very special, my mum and dad thought it was gorgeous and the perfect place to spend their special anniversary . We appreciated all the work that has gone into the renovation of the property prior to it becoming a holiday property (we saw the you tube pictures) Thank you for sharing this wonderful house, we would definitely recommend, and we would love to return.

  26.04.2025 - 03.05.2025 Fantastic Holiday at The ANSON, Perfect location, for a holiday home there was nothing you needed more to relax and unwind. Plus we had perfect weather The rooms were all so clean & tidy, the kitchen was ideal with all that is needed if you do cook in the house, the views from the front windows and the side entrance were fantastic. Local food places and pubs, shops etc were all a stones throw away from the property, we never left the harbour there was no reason too. The beautiful shingle sand beach was a 5 min walk from the house to sit and watch the world go by. The Harbor was so clean and tidy, friendly locals too. The sea is so clear you could see the bottom of the harbour when the tide went out. It was very dog friendly with the enclosed front patio, our dog loved watching everything that was going on.

  We had a fantastic stay at this cottage over Christmas. Nicely decorated for the festive season. The real fire was an added bonus, and kept the downstairs living room nice and toasty! The view from all the windows was amazing! Loved sitting in the bay window with a cuppa whilst looking out to sea :) The heating worked well, everything you need is to hand, and the beds were comfy. One thing to note is the kitchen isn't very big, with only a small counter top freezer, but otherwise has everything you might need to cook up a fab meal! I hope we will be back one day, I would definitely recommend this lovely cottage in a very friendly little town :)
