Guests say

Railway Cottage in Derbyshire receives high praise for its beautiful location, ideal for walking and cycling, and its cosy, well-equipped interior. Guests appreciate the stunning views, comfortable beds, and the cleanliness of the cottage. While some mention a noisy road and wind turbines, the tranquillity inside and the proximity to trails are highlights. Local dining and market towns add to the charm of the stay.

Guests consistently note the cottage's cleanliness, with fresh linens and a well-maintained interior, contributing to a very high cleanliness rating.

The location is highly regarded for its stunning views and access to trails, though some guests mention noise from a nearby road and wind turbines, slightly impacting the perfect score.

The cottage is frequently described as cosy and comfortable, with very comfy beds and a peaceful atmosphere, indicating a high level of comfort for guests.

Facilities are generally praised, especially for being well-equipped. However, a few maintenance issues like hot water problems and a broken trolley slightly lower the score.

While guests express gratitude and appreciation for their stays, there are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

About this property

The Railway Cottage is a beautiful cottage situated in a stunning location. The cottage contained everything, and more, that we could have wanted or needed for our stay. We had a great week!

We had a great week at this cottage. The facilities provided were great, and the garden is a perfect place to relax. The bed was extremely comfortable with the only major downside was the slow/weak wifi, however it depends on your situation whether this will bother you or not. Overall we had an amazing time, enjoying the scenic views and the local trails. Both the Knockerdown pub and The Miners Arms are great local pubs, however be mindful it is quite expensive with a simple pub meal coming to around £17.
