Chapel Retreat is consistently praised for its beautiful decor, spaciousness, and prime location in Buxton, close to parks, shops, and transport. Guests appreciate the clean, well-equipped, and comfortable setting, ideal for both families and groups. The property's unique character and thoughtful conversion from a chapel add to its charm.
Guests frequently mention the property's excellent clean condition, indicating high standards of cleanliness throughout the property.
The location is highly commended for being central, convenient, and close to local amenities, making it an ideal base for exploring Buxton.
The property is described as cosy, comfy, and warm, with comfortable beds and generous living space, although one mention of the house being cold suggests a minor issue with heating.
Facilities are generally well-received, with good showers, a well-equipped kitchen, and reliable WiFi. However, a comment about missing basics and difficulty with heating instructions indicates room for improvement.
While the reviews reflect a positive experience, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would fall under the category of thoughtfulness, thus a score cannot be provided.

Mr Daniel
The converted church has been undertaken very sympathetically with a great use of space. A well equipped property that was very comfortable and ideally located for a short walk into Buxton.
Mrs Browne
Chapel Retreat was a tastefully decorated and spacious house, which was perfect for our extended family break. There was plenty of space downstairs, including a little snug area for the kids. There was a large dining table that sat everyone, and a comfy sofa area. Upstairs the bedrooms were decent, 2 a little on the small side, but the triple decker bunk was hilarious and such fun for the kids, and the day bed and under bed worked really well and was easy to get out and stash away. The other 2 were good size, and both the bathroom and en-suite were both lovely. The location near the Pavillion Gardens in Buxton was fantastic, it was moments away from a Sainsbury’s and easy to find and easy to get parking on the street.
Miss Ingram
Lovely large property for a big group, best location in Buxton, plenty of off road parking. We will definitely be back, thank you.
