What our customers say about their holidays

  • Graham - Verified booking

This is a summary of the feedback received from the 5 adults and 3 kids who attended the accomodation.

The building was in a very nice location, though the drive to access the building was very precarious through the very tight winding, built up walled roads. One of our party refused to drive their car due to the stress of the experience. On the positive side, the building was very spacious even with 3 kids and 3 dogs and 5 adults. Accomodation was clean on arrival and consideration had been provided for tea and coffee facilities on arrival - much appreciated. The view from the hot tub overlooking the bay was great and kitchen and living room had all the mod cons. On the negative, in this modern day of age, wifi coverage through the house should be expected, especially with kids, however the wifi dropped off when you moved away from living room and no wifi coverage in the bedrooms/1st and 2nd floors. 2 of the ensuite showers were faulty with a small dribble of water pressure from the shower received, the main shower room had excellent water pressure. Beds - apart from the small single bedroom all the mattresses where very thin and uncomfortable to sleep on. With 8 in the party the seating provisions within the living room required to watch movies together was insufficient. The sofa and two arm chairs did not have the cpacity and party members had to rotate sitting on the uncomfortable dining chairs.

Firstly this cottage is in a absolutely stunning location, simply beautiful.

The cottage itself has been lovely of restored by the owner and the attention to the finishes inside show how much effort has been taken with the restoration. Sadly we had a few issues with the cottage which were not resolved whilst we were staying there. On arrival the cottage smelt musty and was very cold, we were freezing and the 2 large radiators in the large lounge were not working properly, which made the downstairs very cold to sit in. We had to keep the hearing on and the fire going for 24hrs to warm the house through. There was also a lot of surface dust and dead flies in the property. I suspect it hadn’t not been used since the previous customers and had been cleaned but had sat unused for a few weeks, hence it feeling cold, musty, surface dust and flies. The house really is a beautiful little gem but the oversight on the few issues we experienced let it down slightly, which is a shame. We did message the number on t he email but never got a reply. I’m sure the summer months would be wonderful stay without the heating/cold issues and regular cleaning turn arounds would make a perfect little holiday home.

Cottage is beautifully presented, immaculately clean, well equipped (other than points below) and has some fantastic views.

The cottage is in a great location although it is on top of an incredibly steep hill so it is theoretically in walking distance to the town but it was very tricky for anyone who is not particularly fit or has any health issues. My only criticisms would be that the fridge /freezer space was far to small for a 5 bed property (1 freezer shelf, small fridge and a drink fridge) This could not accommodate our Tesco delivery arranged for the first evening :-( This is a real shame because there is space to accommodate something more suitable in one of the outbuildings. It is great having a washing machine and drier but it would be helpful to have an airer at the property given the size. I personally slept really well but some of our party felt the mattresses were not particularly good and they could feel the springs etc. There is loads to do in the area so we were out everyday but worth noting that the TV did not appear to have an aerial so we could not watch tv live only on the apps and via Netflix. The WiFi connection was slow but adequate downstairs and poor upstairs.

This is a fabulously equiped cottage with everything we could have needed in the kitchen and even little smellies in the bathrooms.

The lights and heating were left on for us so it felt warm and inviting when we arrived on a cold October evening. The property has been beautifully decorated and furnished and felt like a real home from.home. its in a great rural location, quiet except for the sounds of the stream running by. You coukd have been miles from civilisation when actually you are only 2 mins from the main road and access to plenty of places to visit, eat and things to do. A previous review said they couldn't work out how to turn the TV on and we would agree that its not too obvious and if you aren't confident it would be difficult and some written instructions would be good. Our only tiny criticism would be that from information provided, we had expected to be able to start a fire on the first night without having to bring anything but all there was was a log that was too big for the stove and newspapers. No kindling. So on our first night we had to go out to find logs and kindling. Otherwise, this is a great property and we would highly recommend. Thank you

Beautiful location, the views a short walk from the property are amazing.

Not too far from shops and town by car and about 20 min walk and plenty to do nearby a farm for the children and tram rides, toboggans and nice places to eat out. The property has plenty of space downstairs and all the facilities you need, including a drinks fridge. There is a table tennis table outside and table top football inside and a darts board. Plenty of areas to sit outside and at the front with table and chairs and inside porch for cooler nights. Pretty outdoor lighting front and rear. Large table and chairs at the rear with decked area and hot tub, two tier rear garden with upper level grassed both with a beautiful view of the bay and promenade of Llandudno.. Plenty of space for a large family. Well equipped bathrooms and bedrooms, clean and fresh linen and towels. Well suited for dogs. Kitchen well equipped. Plenty of parking outside the property The property owner has tried to think of everything to make your stay a relaxing and enjoyable time and succeeded. Would recommend I enjoyed my stay.
