What our customers say about their holidays

  • Lucy - Verified booking

We had a fantastic stay at Westfield.

The house is in a great location with views of the castle walls and is just a short pleasant walk into Conwy. We have already recommended the house to friends and we would certainly return if we visit Conwy again. There was so much to do in the area that we will no doubt visit again in the future as a week wasn’t long enough. The house had everything that we needed during the week and our stay was very comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised by the ease of parking despite there being an extremely busy charging car park nearby. We were able to park almost or directly in front of the property every day. The bedrooms were pleasant and comfortable. Our son (15) slept in the smaller front bedroom and enjoyed the view from the window. He found the high sleeper a little creaky but had the choice of beds and was happy and comfortable sleeping in the lower bed. There was no wardrobe in that room to hang shirts but he wasn’t too bothered by that. Our other son (17) had the twin bedroom and would have liked to use both beds as a king double but the two singles pushed together were fine as long as he remembered the gap in the middle. He also had the views of the castle to enjoy. Our double room at the back was adequate for our requirements. The bed was very creaky to begin with but we tightened the bolts and it was much improved. The resident jackdaws seemed to like eating breakfast from the gutters above the window in the early morning but if the windows were closed, the excellent glazing blocked out the noise. The bathroom was lovely with plenty of space and a pleasant separate shower in particular was nice. The kitchen dining and utility spaces were great and well equipped. Almost everything was provided in the kitchen including salt and pepper, cleaning products, some delicious Welsh Cakes and there was milk in the fridge when we arrived. The only things we missed was a replacement kitchen bin bag which we couldn’t find and there was no kitchen roll provided on the holder but that was certainly not a necessity or expected. Plenty of things were provided that we wouldn’t expect such as luxurious Cushelle toilet rolls, nice hand wash, and plenty of washing pods and dishwasher tablets. The living room was very cosy with the blinds down and the table lamps on and lovely and airy with the windows open during the day. We enjoyed sitting in the bay smelling the lavender in abundance in the front garden. It was too warm to light the fire but we would have loved to use the materials provided to make a real fire. We didn’t make use of the books or games but there was a good selection. The central main light worked on its brightest setting but the bulbs in the fitting were not designed for the dimmer switch and flickered if the dimmer was used. We ideally would have dimmed the lights as it was less cosy with the light on full. We would recommend finding some bulbs that confirm they can be used with a dimmer. I hope this feedback is useful to whoever is reading. We have had a superb holiday in Conwy and will remember the area and our holiday house fondly. Westfield was a brilliant option for our family and we therefore highly recommend it as a place to stay while exploring Conwy and the surrounding area.

The holiday cottage was the perfect place for 2 families of 4 to stay.

As soon as we walked through the doors into the spacious hallway with plenty of hooks for coats and a rack for shoes, we knew it was going to be good accommodation. It was all freshly decorated and finished off well with little homely extras that made it feel like home from home. There was certainly plenty of room that we never felt on top of each other; the lounge/dining area and kitchen were very spacious and very well equipped with everything we needed and more. It was clean throughout and had little extras like Alexa, binoculars to admire the fantastic views from the veranda and a welcome milk with sachets of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Even the dog wasn't forgotten about - there was a bowl and treats for him too. Straight across the road from the Chapel you could be straight onto a footpath which took you up onto the hillside. From here there were fantastic views looking over the bays of Llandudno and Conwy, together with views of Little and Great Orme. It was the perfect location to easily access the many attractions in the area, whilst also being peaceful in the neighbourhood. We are unable to comment on the village pubs as they were not yet open due to covid-19. Saron Chapel was probably the best holiday cottage we have stopped in and we would certainly stop there again. I would also like to add that the owners, Alex and Neil were both very helpful and easy to get hold of if we had any queries. They can both be very proud of what they have achieved with the Chapel. Just back from our holiday in Conwy and have to say it was fantastic.

This holiday home is now our number 1 holiday home and we have stayed in homes all over the UK and Europe. The location is fantastic looking over to the town walls and only a 3min walk to all the amenities of Conwy. The house is furnished to a high quality especially the kitchen that had everything you would need and more. If your looking for a meal I would recommend the Erskine arms that is the first inn you come to on walking into Conwy from the car park opposite house, fantastic food and ambience for a very reasonable cost. Our local for the stay was the Liverpool down at the quay side, great for a drink outside looking over the yachts after walking around Conwy on the town walls. I can't recommend this home higher we will definitely be back.

This was our second stay at Westfield and we had another wonderful visit.

The house is warm, welcoming and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is very well equipped and we had everything we needed to cook family meals. The beds were comfortable with good quality bedding and we were always glad to return to Westfield to relax after a busy day exploring North Wales. Situated on the edge of Conwy town, the property is a short walk from the town centre, castle and quay. There is a lovely little playground and playing field just up the road which our children loved visiting each evening. Parking is at a premium in Conwy but we were able to park outside the house most days and paid parking across the road is also available. We had a fantastic holiday at Westfield and hope we will be able to visit again one day.

Saron Chapel is a lovely, comfortable well-equipped property.

We stayed in December and were surprised and delighted that a large, well decorated and lit Christmas tree was situated in the lounge/ diner. There were also lots of other welcome treats provided such as milk, butter, prosecco, biscuits and treats for our dog. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with dishes, cutlery, glasses and utensils and we had everything we needed. There was lots of space to cook, eat and socialise in. The weather outside was in the region of 5 -10 degrees but inside was lovely and cosy, the underfloor heating was a real treat and the beds were extremely comfortable. We had a great week here and would definitely recommend it.
