  I am thrilled to write an excellent review of the six bedroom cottage I stayed at in Bala, North Wales.

  This stunning property is truly a family paradise, with a wide range of activities and amenities that are sure to keep you entertained throughout your stay. From the moment you arrive at the cottage, you'll be struck by its beautiful design and tasteful decor. The cottage boasts six spacious and comfortable bedrooms, each of which is beautifully decorated and equipped with plush bedding and high-quality linens. The cottage also features two luxurious living rooms, which provide the perfect space to relax and unwind after a day of outdoor activities. The living rooms are tastefully furnished and equipped with comfortable sofas, a cozy fireplace, and large windows that offer stunning views of the surrounding countryside. One of the standout features of this cottage is the impressive games room, which is sure to delight sports enthusiasts of all ages. The games room is equipped with a range of activities, including a PS3, a WII console, large TV, surround sound as well as a wide selection of board games and books. In addition to the games room, the cottage also boasts a luxurious Jacuzzi, which provides the perfect opportunity to relax and rejuvenate after a long day of sporting activities. The Jacuzzi is located in a private, secluded area of the cottage, ensuring that you can unwind in complete privacy and comfort. The cottage's large and well-equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing delicious meals for the whole group. Whether you're whipping up a quick snack or preparing a gourmet feast, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to create delicious dishes using fresh, local ingredients.   Fabulous property - wonderfully spacious and general layout of the house worked really well.

  The owners were very communicative both ahead of our stay and whilst we were on holiday - they made us feel very welcome and gave some great recommendations of places to visit. They also left some really thoughtful, locally sourced welcome gifts - including bara brith, welsh cakes, welsh butter and beer. The hot tub was a great addition and a really good size and it was helpful in the evenings having two reception rooms as it meant the children could watch tv in one room whilst the adults were in another. The garden space is well maintained with a good bbq available to use. In terms of location - it is remote but with that comes beautiful views and a very peaceful break. It is about a 10 minute drive to Corwen (a lovely little village, with a nice cafe for breakfast and a fantastic 'giant adventure' walk in the surrounding hills). Bala is about 10 minutes drive away as well - a nice town with a beautiful lake. Larger towns (including a large supermarket) were about 20-25 minutes drive away. All in all, I couldn't recommend this property enough, in particular if it is a holiday for multiple families as the space is great.

  Bryn y Don was the perfect accommodation for a multi-generational family gathering ranging from 3 to 76 years!

  The main house was spacious, sparkling clean and well appointed throughout. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and crockery, pans and utensils etc were of a high quality. We also rented the "cottage" which together with the main house gave us a sleeping capacity of 16. The two accommodations allowed us additional space and it was easy and safe for the younger members of the family to move between the two properties. The sea views from the kitchen of the main house and lounge were delightful. We had 5 cars in total and all the cars could park outside of the two properties. The hot tub was a great success by all members of the family as was football in the garden!! The Owners were most helpful and pleasant throughout our stay, but were not intrusive in any way. Suffice to say.......when we next have a family celebration or a Boris staycation is required......we would be delighted to book Bryn y Don again.

  We had a fantastic holiday staying at Bryn y Don, creating new memories and reliving old.

  The property has everything you need and caters perfectly for large families. Our group was a family of seven, over four generations, and a dog. The property gave us plenty of space and comfort to relax and unwind - our granddaughter especially loved the piano. The views are amazing watching the tides at Benllech bay . The garden is beautiful and a great size for our granddaughter and dog to run around and play. The hot tub was an added luxury to enjoy at the end of the day. There's plenty of instructions for using the hot tub and recycling etc. The owner lives close by and popped over to introduce herself and was so friendly and welcoming. The property is large but homely and we will definitely be booking again, we can't wait to return. We cannot recommend this property highly enough, a true home from home.

  When we arrived there was a lot of dog hairs throughout the house, it actually looked as if it hadn’t been brushed or vacuumed in the two en suite bedrooms.

  There were dirty plates, cups, glasses and cutlery in the cupboards and drawers which I’m assuming the previous guests had put away without washing. Due to the covid pandemic and two of our party being in the highly vulnerable category, we decided that we couldn’t take any risks and washed every item in the cupboards and drawers in the kitchen before we even unpacked. There were a lot of complaints from the users of single beds that they were very uncomfortable. The shower in the upstairs bathroom didn’t work very well at all and we ended up having to use the shower in the upstairs en-suite. The washing machine leaks on any cycle other than a quick wash. There were no instructions left on how to use the hot tub nor checking out procedures which I had to message the owners about.
