Guests say

Sandstrath is a well-received holiday cottage praised for its prime location near Bamburgh beach and village. Guests appreciate the property's light, airy spaces, well-equipped kitchen, and the views over the garden and fields. The welcoming local produce bag is a delightful touch. While most find the cottage clean and comfortable, a few noted minor issues with maintenance and cleanliness.

Most guests report the property as clean and well-presented. However, a few guests mentioned areas where cleanliness could be improved, such as lounge cleanliness and debris in bedroom storage. These seem to be isolated incidents rather than a common trend.

The location is consistently praised for its proximity to the beach, sand dunes, and local village. The ease of access to local attractions and the peaceful setting contribute to its high rating.

Guests find the property comfortable, with special mentions of comfy beds and living areas. There are comments about the adequacy of lounge seating and a suggestion for more comfortable garden seating, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.

The property is described as well-appointed and well-equipped. However, there are remarks about the need for a garden parasol, sun beds, and a handrail for steps. One guest mentioned an issue with a bed, indicating some room for improvement in maintenance.

Guests are charmed by the local produce welcome bag, which adds a thoughtful touch to their stay. However, as gifts are not consistently mentioned across reviews, it cannot be guaranteed that this is a standard offering for all stays.

Sandstrath is a lovely holiday home with every modern convenience. Clean, comfortable and very well equipped. A great base for touring the Northumberland coast and further inland too. The view from the back of the house is lovely and the antics of the cows and sheep are very amusing! Our cocker spaniel was most put out when he spotted a cow peering over the garden wall trying to munch one of the shrubs!
