A Stylish Coastal Retreat in Pretty Embleton Village
Beautifully restored, this stylish holiday cottage in Embleton has been completely refurbished to a very high standard and is now a luxurious holiday home on the coast for up to five guests.
Hedgehog House is a single storey holiday cottage right in the centre of pretty Embleton Village, just 10 minutes walk from the golden sands of Embleton beach. Explore the whole coastline easily from Embleton beach and head down to Low Newton or onto Dunstanburgh Castle and Craster beyond. The village has three great pubs and two restaurants too, as well as a village store and art gallery. Bamburgh, Seahouses, Alnwick and Holy Island can easily be reached from Hedgehog House.
Hedgehog House sleeps five guests and welcomes three well-behaved dogs. The luxury decor is to a 5 star standard and there is private parking and an enclosed patio which is a sun trap in the mornings.

We visit this area regularly and this is by far the best property we have used so far. By far the most comfortable! We had really good meals at The Bamburgh Castle Hotel and The Greys Inn, very good value. We loved the goods and personal service, very much appreciated. The dogs also loved it, Beadnell beach is always worth a visit as it’s very easy access to the beach. We will return!

We have used Coquet Cottages many times over the last few years and never had any issues. They have always been helpful, reliable and professional. With respect to Hedgehog House this is the best property we have rented so far. It is newly modernised, and very comfortable with lots of personal touches. It is dog friendly with lots of dog walks nearby. The local beach is a 20-minute walk or 5-minute drive with lots of great beaches close by. We definitely intend to return.

Wow, what a great house! Such a high spec. Fully equipped with everything you might need and more. We were blessed with a dry but windy week. We have loved watching all the different species of birds feeding from the feeders in the front garden. The bed was extremely comfy and it was lovely to have a phone call from Michelle, the owner to check everything was ok. Great walk down through the dunes onto the beach. The house is perfectly placed to visit all the places along the coast such as Amble, Warkworth, Alnmouth, Craster, Beadnell and Bamburgh. Great hamper of goodies and even one for our two dogs! Thank you, we will return.
