Attached to the owner’s home and accessed via a sweeping driveway, S101599 has its own private entrance and enclosed patio with bicycle store. On the ground floor there is a family bedroom with double bed, additional single bed and a great en-suite bathroom. The staircase leads up to a bright, spacious, open plan living and dining area with wooden floors, beautiful beams and a multi-fuel burner. There is a separate, well-equipped kitchen which looks out over the garden and another bedroom with a kingsize bed and en-suite shower room. In addition to its own private patio/seating area, guests are also welcome to enjoy the owner’s rear garden which includes a large lawned area, a patio area, fire pit and barbecue.
S101599 is located in the sleepy village of Crosby Garrett which is just 4 miles from the market town of Kirkby Stephen with a good variety of shops and cafés. Kirkby Stephen also has a railway station which is on the Settle-Carlisle line, and the steam trains pass through Crosby Garrett over the viaduct. Kirkby Stephen has official ‘Walkers are Welcome’ status and the surrounding area offers a wealth of designated footpaths and bridleways, including Wainwright’s famous Coast to Coast walk which stretches 192 miles between St Bees and Robin Hood’s Bay, passing through three National Parks.
With the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks both within easy driving distance, you will be spoilt for choice with places to visit. Kendal is a 40-minute drive, Kirkby Lonsdale, Hawes and Dent are 45 minutes away, and Windermere, Keswick and Ingleton are all within an hour’s drive. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.
