  We had a fabulous stay.

  The Clock Tower has everything covered. The place was picturesque, and the building was huge. All rooms are tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is superior to many we have stayed in, with everything you would need to cook a three-course meal if needed. All towels were included, plus separate towels for the hot tub. The Hot tub had been checked over whilst we were out, we thought that excellent. Plus another nice touch was the gift of box of chocolates left on arrival in the kitchen. The beds were comfy and bedding of top quality, we all have the best sleep as it's so peaceful. The Bathrooms are arge and easy to manouvre, showers perfect and lovely and modern. The Garden was well manicured and had lovely setting and everything covered for a barbeque. Parking was great, I think we were the only people there for the 3 nights we were at the Clock Tower, so it was very peaceful. We loved the spiral staircase, but found it a little difficult, as we are an older crowd ranging from late 60's to late 70's. But we managed perfectly even with mobility issues. Overall, this was a superb stay, with everything in reach within a 15 minute drive, (small towns in the lakes etc.with bars, cruising the lakes and wonderful restaurants) It's truly an incredible place.   We had such a lovely week away in the cottage.

  I don’t think we could’ve chosen better for location, comfort or convenience. 5 minute walk to the train station meant we could be in Ulverston within 15 minutes which was great for Sunday afternoon enjoying Sunday lunch and drinks in the pub when the weather was dismal. We were only a half hour lovely, mostly off road, walk away from Cartmel and an hours walk from Grange. Also at least 3 pubs were of walking distance from the cottage too. There was a lot of wet cold weather the week that we were there but it didn’t ruin the holiday as we had a lovely cosy cottage with 2 log burners to come home to. A well stocked kitchen and lots of homely touches around the cottage as well as an extra living room and a fantastic shower and comfy bed made our stay so much better than it could have been had we opted for a different cottage so we were so happy we went ahead and booked as the cottage was far better than the advert made out. The owner also went out her way to return an item my daughter had left behind which we were also very grateful for. I think this cottage is perfect any season as in the summer you could make use of the back yard with its large table and chairs or the front garden listening to the river. We would highly recommend this property.

  We had the best week at the cottage celebrating my daughter's 30th birthday. The property is stunning inside and out. We were lucky to have sunny weather all week and made good use of the outside space. There is plenty of space at the front of the property for 3 cars. It is well secured with gates to keep our dogs in too. We were a party of 6 adults and 2 dogs and felt we had plenty of room for us all. The way the house is laid out is perfect, the lounge and dining area is upstairs but it is such a big bright room and offers much more space than you would have normally. All the rooms are beautiful and everything was spotless. There is everything you will ever need in this house and the welcome pack was a lovely touch with some very nice goodies in it! Cark is a great base for visiting the area. We used the bus into Cartmel and took a train ride into Grange over Sands and also Arnside. Would definitely recommend using the train as it was quick and no worries with parking. Would definitely recommend this property and we hope to return in the future.

  We had a fabulous stay in Cark House Cottage with our friends and our two dogs. It's in a lovely little village next to a stream, there were lots of lovely walks direct from the cottage . The cottage itself is very spacious , with three lovely bedrooms, very comfortable beds and great showers. The fixtures and fittings are top quality and it was very clean throughout. There is a great takeaway Flounders in the next village Flooksburgh and the village of Cartmel approx 3 miles away is a real foodie place .it's full of pubs and restaurants . We ate out at 3 of the pubs ( which were all dog friendly ) and the food was excellent. You've got to try their sticky toffee pudding its amazing, You can buy it to take home from the village shop. We even had one included in the very generous welcome pack at the cottage. We would thoroughly recommend Cark House Cottage, it's a great base to explore the lakes and the coast

  It is a beautiful cottage with good quality furnishings, fixtures and fittings with everything you need. The luxury bedding helped us all enjoy a good nights sleep each night so we have all returned very relaxed. Each of the 3 double bedrooms were lovely. The cottage was very clean. The location is so peaceful. We would sit in the garden listening to the sound of the river and beautiful bird song. We even saw a deer up close when returning to the cottage from a short circular walk to see the sunset. The local people were very friendly and helpful. There were lots of nice walks nearby. We particularly enjoyed the walk to Cartmel using public footpaths and rights of way to avoid traffic. There are lots of places to visit which are only a short drive away and the station is so close so very accessible. The welcome goodies were a lovely touch and much appreciated. We will definitely return.
