What our customers say about their holidays

We all had the most amazing time, from the min we opened the door & saw how clean & spacious it was then to see the huge bed which looks brand new, was brilliant.
Absolutely everything you could want it provided. ( I always take fairy lights to light up garden to see where dogs âgoâ but these werenât needed as thereâs 2 lots of outside lights )We stay in cottages a lot with our dogs & this is one of the best. The weather was wonderful too ( again we always pack for the worst weather but big coats werenât needed ) The beaches are walkable however a cut through across the road then through the cemetery leads to a decent size Tesco with friendly staff & a bus stop so you can get one to Old Hunstanton which is fab with Le Strange arms hotel / bar that do a brill 2 courses for £15 , have to sit outside with dogs is only downside but again staff were brill & made sure our plates were really hot. You can then walk through to the most stunning beach & it goes on for miles & miles. I saw a few negative comments re the grass not being cut, Iâd say , have a look in the little shed & do it if it bothers you that much, (we stay in cottages because itâs like being at home as opposed to a hotel , & things always need doing in a home ) Also we never saw any rats & our 2 dogs would have searched them out ! I wish I could post photos as we were lucky enough to see the northern lights & of course the wonderful red cliffs . A final mention to Lou who was brill, a welcome message to say it was ready early was great & she was available for any help . Literally canât wait to come to come back ( love Hunstanton if you couldnât tell ! )

Our mature family of five spent seven lovely days in Porch House in early September 2021, helped by the sunny weather. The house was immaculate on arrival and with a very generous welcome pack. Plenty of room for us all, the bedrooms were clean and nicely decorated, with comfortable beds, and spacious seating in the two reception rooms. It became our home from home immediately. We enjoyed the delightful walled garden and spent a lot of our time there, and we liked the Weber gas grill so much that we ordered one for delivery on our return home! Our elderly mother was in a wheelchair and it was a ten minute trip for us all to the centre of town and a few more minutes to the seafront. Mother took a little time getting used to the steps in the house and garden but managed well. We often went straight down Lower Lincoln Street to the prom in about seven minutes, where there is the delicious and wholesome Salad Bowl cafe, not to be missed; likewise the Northgate Indian restaurant and Chives restaurant in the centre. Supafry fish and chips were very good, but a shame about the sporadic and unreliable opening times. Don't forget the discount coupons in the residence; we forgot ours for Eric's Pizza/Fish n Chips and the Jolly Sailors, twice...! We met the owner Emma on arrival who was most courteous and obviously runs a quality property with attention to detail. We'll be back!

What a location! Walking out the front door and seeing the sea was a real treat. The house is in a quiet road, just a few minutes from the beach. Also, it's only a short walk to the town centre. The house has comfortable beds - a must! It had pretty much everything you could possibly need for a holiday base. The table folds out and easily seats 4. The house looks small in the photos on the listing, but my partner and I (and our two gangly teenagers) had plenty of space, and enjoyed hanging out together in the lounge in the evenings. We spent a lot of time playing crazy golf, foot golf, pitch and putt, the putting green and the bowling green. We also went to the park, again a short walk away. The beach is wonderful for walking and fossil hunting. The sunsets are stunning. The RSPB reserve at Titchwell Marsh is worth a visit, as is the Sealife Centre. We recommend the Northgate Indian restaurant. If you want banter and a Belgian bun bigger than your head, go to Mr Bun the Baker!

Great cottage, however the rear parking is very limited.
As you have to go down a tight track which at the end was the gate. And a sharp left turn into the parking area. The entrance to the garden is shared with next door no 12, so a really big car won't fit as you have to leave space and you need someone at the back to help navigate out by reversing. The single bed is very soft and gives little back support. It's very spacious and well equipped. The dishwasher works great but the instructions are for another machine. There's no Pizza cutter, everything else though. Overall its lovely and very well maintained. I definateley would stay again. The top two steps on the stairs seem a bit loose so a bit of investigation by the owner may be needed and probably a quick fix. Bathroom is huge and modern. We felt very relaxed.

Very good clean property.
All required items are there and the property was prepared for us very well with high chair and cot which seemed as if they were brand new! Only issue we had was with parking, only 1 space and it is very tight to get in/out of but there is nearby parking usually available on street. Very close proximity to the beach and restaurants etc. We had booked to stay with our dog but decided not to take him in the end, thankful that we didnât as he wouldâve escaped the garden with the gate being shared access and had been left open by the neighbour plus it is a wooden one with lots of space (he is a small dog hence why it wouldâve been a problem!) All in all a very pleasant stay and we would return purely due to its proximity to the local amenities.
