Guests say

Guests have praised the cottage for its comfortable atmosphere, stunning views, and peaceful location, ideal for walking and enjoying the tranquillity of the moors. The enclosed garden is appreciated by dog owners, and the wood burner adds to the cosy feel. Some guests noted the property is snug for larger groups but perfect for smaller ones.

The majority of guests found the cottage to be clean and comfortable. However, a few mentioned the presence of slugs and mice, and cobwebs, indicating occasional lapses in cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its peace, quiet, and access to moor walks. It's also within a reasonable distance from attractions and amenities, though the access road can be challenging for some vehicles.

The cottage is generally considered comfortable, especially for smaller parties. The lounge and wood burner are highlights, though some guests found the upstairs area and bathroom to be on the smaller side.

Facilities are adequate with a well-received enclosed garden and lounge. Some guests felt the kitchen and bedrooms were lacking in space and essential items, and there were comments on furnishings showing age and limited space for personal items.

It should be made clear that the access road to the field should not used by a saloon car as mine became stuck and only when a local farmer assisted me could i park in the gravel layby which was mentioned in the informationm sheet in the cottage, but not prior to arriving.

Lovely stay in a great location to explore the North Yorkshire moors. The dogs loved the garden space and it was very secure. The dogs also liked sitting and watching the sheep.
