The idyllic village of Goathland is set on the north eastern edge of the North York Moors National Park. It is surrounded by the rugged open moorlands which provide excellent walking country and on which sheep graze freely. The village has been popularised by the television programme Heartbeat. At the bottom of the village lies the station for the famous North York Moors Steam Railway. Here you can catch a train to Whitby or Pickering and relax as the train winds its way through the moors. Goathland is within easy reach of the East Coast towns of Whitby, Staithes, Robin Hoods Bay and Scarborough, making it a great holiday base.

Great communication from Sally before we arrived and we had a wonderful stay for a long weekend attending a family wedding. Can imagine it would be equally as lovely in the winter with the woodburners and underfloor heating. Would love to come again!

The conversion has been beautifully done. The accommodation is extremely comfortable. Only wish we could have stayed there longer. The kitchen is very well equipped. Appreciated the second refrigerator. Sarah was very prompt and helpful with replying to e-mails. I hope that we can visit again.

The house was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. The owners left a welcome gift of eggs, wine etc which was very well received. The trains going past the bottom of the garden were great to see. The dogs loved the walk along the bridal path where we saw squirrels, rabbits, lapwings lots of other wildlife. We had a fantastic stay and would love to come again.
