The house was very well presented and great for a family with 3 older children. It was lovely and warm and cosy. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. The location was great for an October break as we didn't need to take all our gear down to the beach at this time of year. Walking into Whitby was easy, although the walk back up was a little more challenging. The footpaths down into Whitby are quite steep and slippery if the weather is cold or wet, however we walked everyday and didn't need to use our cars for the whole week. There was enough parking for 2 cars on the drive, 1 large estate and 1 small car, there was some roadside parking too.

If the cottage had not been as good as it was our week in Whitby with older grandchildren would have been ruined. We had one day of sunshine and 6 days of mainly mist wind and rain. I would use it again though

We enjoyed a lovely week in this 3 bedroom cottage. It is well-equipped, nicely furnished and only a 10 minute walk down to the centre of Whitby. The back garden is enclosed and so would be safe for children. We would be happy to recommend this house and may well return ourselves in future.
